"Under the bill approved Wednesday, doctors who prescribe antibiotics to treat the tick-borne illness would be protected from investigation by the State Office of Professional Medical Conduct." The legislation applies "but is not limited to" Lyme disease care." (Source: Poughkeepsie Journal, 12/2/14) New York has a new law protecting doctors treating Lyme disease. Governor Cuomo has signed the Patients' Rights/Doctor Protection bill. Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen!" Bijkomende links : |
